Elaine V. Goetz

Elaine V. Goetz, age 89 formerly of Manitowoc and currently a resident of Myakka, FL. died Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Bradenton, FL.Elaine was born on December 14, 1928 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Wencel and Marcella (Siebold) Fogltanz. She grew up in Manitowoc and was a 1946 graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School. On August 26, 1948 Elaine was married to Claude E. Goetz. He preceded her in death on June 22, 2000. The couple spent most of their married life in Illinois, moving back to Manitowoc in 1989.She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish, St. Clare Society, the Third Order of St. Francis both in Manitowoc and Florida, Viking Rosemaling and the Tuesday Painters. Elaine enjoyed painting and spending time with her family.Survivors include her 11 children and their spouses: Victoria (Larry) Carvelli; Allan (Elizabeth) Goetz; Claudia (James) Ronayne; Steven (Barbara Jean) Goetz; Deacon Daniel (Lydia) Goetz; Angela (Robert) Whitlock; Andrea (Michael) Sakoff; Gregory (Dawn) Goetz; Barbara (Todd) Laffin; Rita (Steve) Garvy; Paul Goetz; 27 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 1 brother: Donald Fogltanz, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Wencel and Marcella Fogltanz; her husband: Claude E. Goetz; two sons: David and John Goetz; one sister-in-law: Susan Fogltanz.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand, 1416 Grand Avenue, Manitowoc. Rev. Richard Klingeisen will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with entombment of her cremated remains at the Calvary Mausoleum. Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. The Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Manitowoc is assisting the family with arrangements.
