Robert J. Sitman, age 76, of 133 Oak Street, Whitelaw, passed away early Friday morning, June 16, 2017 at River's Bend Health & Rehabilitation Center of Manitowoc.Bob was born on May 3, 1941 in the town of Franklin, son of the late Joseph and Margaret (Meidl) Sitman. He worked for the Great Lakes Co. and later as a general assembler for Manitowoc Cranes. On July 10, 1965, he married the former Doris Helen Rasmussen at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Whitelaw. He was a retired 50-year member of the Whitelaw Volunteer Fire Department. Bob enjoyed camping, fishing and social get-togethers with family and friends.He is survived by his wife: Doris Sitman, Whitelaw; three daughters: Lisa (Rick) Olson, Sherwood; Lori (Wade) Belongia, Manitowoc; Linda Brunner and Gary Paider, Mishicot; five grandchildren: Allison Olson; Kaytlin Olson; Hannah Belongia; Kimberly Brunner; Robert Brunner; three special nieces: Susan Lavassor and her special friend: Harry Kraus, Green Bay; Patricia Kostechka, Reedsville; Lynn (Chris) Glaza, Grafton; his mother-in-law: Esther Rasmussen, Manitowoc; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law include: Donna (Ed) Reznichek, Cato; Evelyn (Gerald) LeClair, Manitowoc; Marie (Lloyd) Rohr, Manitowoc; Les Behnke, Manitowoc; Joyce (Steve) Vetter, Northeim; Karen (Terry) Welnicke, Manitowoc; Orville (Jeri) Rasmussen, Manitowoc; Diane Klein and her special friend: Al, Milwaukee, other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents: Joseph and Margaret Sitman; one sister and brother-in-law: Arlene (Bernard) Kostechka; one sister-in-law: Esther Behnke.Prayer services will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. at Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home, 1124 Main Street, Kellnersville. Entombment will take place privately on Wednesday at the Knollwood Mausoleum. Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service at 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been set up in Bob Sitman's name.
