Russell E. Ebert, age 72, of Taus, died Tuesday evening, December 5, 2017 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center of Manitowoc.Russell was born on October 23, 1945 at Whitelaw, son of the late John and Margaret (Schambureck) Ebert Sr. He graduated with the class of 1964 from Reedsville High School. On October 23, 1965 Russell married the former Evelyn Nienhaus at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Kellnersville. The couple was married 52 years. Russell was employed for 41½ years at Rockwell Lime Company in Rockwood.He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Kellnersville, lifetime member of the American Hereford Assoc., lifetime member of the Whitelaw Sportsman's Club, Charter member of the Inland Snowmobile Club and member of the Ebert's Hunting Club. Russell loved hunting and fishing, John Deere tractors and raising beef cattle.Survivors include his wife: Evelyn Ebert, Taus; one son and daughter-in-law: Mark (Jennifer) Ebert, Whitelaw; one daughter and son-in-law: Tammy (David) Maas, Reedsville; two grandchildren: Michael (Ashley) Ebert, Brillion; Grace Ebert (Kevin Woods), Appleton; two great-grandchildren: Oliver and Kingsley Ebert, Brillion; two sisters and three brothers-in-law: Betty (Art) Dietrich; Barb (Paul) Wallander; Joseph Welch; two brothers and four sisters-in-law: Tom (Betty) Ebert; Dan (Barb) Ebert; Ruth Noack; Audrey Ebert; three brothers-in-law and four sisters-in-law: Elroy (Karen) Nienhaus; Elaine (Romy) Bishop; Elsie Korinek and her special friend: Tom Funk; Ellen (Karl) Schmidt, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents: John and Margaret Ebert Sr.; his father-in-law and mothers-in-law: Ellsworth and Elaine Nienhaus; three brothers: John "Jack" Ebert Jr.; Eddie Ebert; James Ebert; one sister: Margaret Welch.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Kellnersville. The Rev. Maurice Mmegbuadimma will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with burial to follow in the parish cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. The Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Kellnersville is assisting the family with arrangements.
