Ruth Sieker Obituary

Ruth M. Sieker, age 85, of The Gardens at Felician Village, Manitowoc, died early Thursday morning, January 26, 2017 at St. Mary's Home at Felician Village, Manitowoc. The former Ruth M. Broen was born on December 28, 1931 in Green Bay, daughter of the late Harris H. and Helen I. (Christianson) Broen. She was a 1950 graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School. On September 8, 1951 Ruth was married to William L. Sieker at First Lutheran Church in Manitowoc. Ruth worked as a receptionist for St. Anthony's Medical Center in Crown Point, IN and later served as a fund raiser at The Church of St. Michael and St. George in St. Louis, MO retiring and moving to Manitowoc in 1990. She was active in the past with a quilting club in Manitowoc and participated with a Bridge Club at Felician Village.Survivors include her husband: William L. Sieker, Manitowoc; four children: Sandra L. Sieker, Demotte, IN; Donald A. (Barbara) Sieker, Lake Worth, FL; Timothy L. (Karen) Sieker, Crown Point, IN; William C. (Bonnie) Sieker, Brush Creek, TN; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one sister: Audrey Bean, Manitowoc, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Harris and Helen Broen; one brother and sister-in-law: Howard H. (Lynda) Broen; one sister and two brothers-in-law: Norma (Russel) Mraz; Tom Bean.A private family Memorial service was held at Blessed Angela Chapel at Felician Village. Rev. Gerald Foley officiated with burial of her cremated remains at Evergreen Cemetery. The Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Manitowoc is assisting with arrangements.
