Clarence "Clancy" Meneau, age 88, formerly of 10013 Thunder Road, Whitelaw, and currently a resident of Harbor View Assisted Living, Manitowoc, died Monday afternoon February 5, 2018 at his residence surrounded by loved ones.Clarence was born on April 10, 1929 in Two Rivers, son of the late Arnold and Pearl (Rohde) Meneau. He attended Washington High School in Two Rivers. On June 17, 1950 he married the former Marlene W. Dehne. Clarence was self-employed as a commercial painter for many years.Clarence enjoyed working or playing on his computer, fishing, hunting, he was one of the cofounders of the lakeshore beagle club, camping, ham radio, gardening, motorcycling and stock car racing. He had his pilot's license and flew airplanes and his latest hobby was RC planes and flying his new drone.Survivors include his wife: Marlene Meneau, Manitowoc; two sons: David Meneau, Whitelaw and special friend Susan Walters; Dennis Meneau, Whitelaw and his special friend: Sherrie Suettinger; four daughters: Christine Stangel, Manitowoc and her special friend: Lee Saeger; Judy (Joe) Dondlinger, Newton; Sharon (Loren) Barnard, Manitowoc; Melinda (Gordon) Kowaleski, Shawano; Daughter in-law Kristina Meneau; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; 6 step-grandchildren; 8 step-great-grandchildren; 11 step-great-great-grandchildren; one brother and two sisters-in-law: Richard (Peg) Meneau, Armstrong Creek; Judy Meneau, Manitowoc, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents: Arnold and Pearl Meneau; two great-granddaughters: Zoe Meneau; Samieh Schwab; one son-in-law: Norbert Stangel; two brothers: LeRoy Meneau; Donald Meneau; one sister and brother-in-law: Arlene (Robert) Kempen. Clarence was extremely proud and loved his many grandchildren and extended family.A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 9, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Kellnersville. The Rev. Maurice Mmegbuadimma will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with entombment of his cremated remains at the Knollwood Mausoleum at a later date. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. The Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Kellnersville is assisting the family with arrangements.
