Dean J. Ziemer

Dean John Ziemer, age 60, of Reedsville, passed away on Friday, March 16, 2018, surrounded by his loving family.Dean was born in Manitowoc to Alfred and Virginia Ziemer on January 29, 1958. He graduated from Reedsville High School, and also graduated from Lakeshore Technical Institute with a degree in Auto Mechanics. Dean was united in marriage to Diane Schmidt at St. John's Lutheran Church, Beaver Dam, on May 21, 1988. Dean worked as an automotive technician at Gustman Subaru in Appleton. He also loved farming (cash crops) on the family farm and enjoyed using his mechanical ability to repair his own farm machinery.Dean is survived by his loving wife of almost 30 years, Diane, son, Matthew (Caitlin) of San Francisco, CA, daughter, Katie, Stevens Point, parents, Alfred and Virginia, Reedsville, brother, David, Reedsville, sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Jeff Ditzel, Minneapolis, mother and father-in law, Ann and Orville Schmidt, Beaver Dam, and brother-in-law, Ken Schmidt, Madison. Dean is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.Funeral services will be held at St. John–St. James Ev. Lutheran Church, 219 Manitowoc Street, Reedsville on Saturday, March 24, at 11:30 a.m. Rev. Darin Aden will officiate. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated. The Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Kellnersville is assisting the family with arrangements.
