Doris M. Staudt, age 93, of Manitowoc, died Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Rivers Bend Health & Rehabilitation Center. Doris was born on September 14, 1924 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Albert and Sophie (Hartl) Schipper. She attended local area schools and graduated with the class of 1942 from Manitowoc Lincoln High School. On July 24, 1945 she married Donald Staudt in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on December 11, 2015, after celebrating 70 years of marriage. Doris enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting and quilting. They both enjoyed 27 years as snowbirds at Palm Tree Acres, Zephyrhills, FL.She is survived by her five children: James (Joanne) Staudt, Manitowoc; Mary (Robert) Kiphart, Manitowoc; Jack (Lynn) Staudt, Summerville, SC; Mark Staudt, Manitowoc; Tom Staudt, Manitowoc; ten grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one sister and one brother-in-law: Barbara (Leon) Kabat, Shawano; three brothers-in-law and four sisters-in-law: Raymond (Marilyn) Staudt, Manitowoc; Leroy (Delores) Staudt, Manitowoc; Gerald (Marilyn) Staudt, Oak Lawn, IL; Lavange Wilda, FL, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Albert and Sophie Schipper; her husband: Donald Staudt; one brother and sister-in-law: Robert (Helen) Schipper; three brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law: Robert (Alice) Staudt; Wayne Staudt; Eleanor (Orin) Clasen.A Memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m., on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at the Jens Family Funeral Home & Crematory, 1122 South 8th Street, Manitowoc. The Rev. David Pleier will officiate with burial of her cremated remains to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
