Elaine M. Garrigan

Elaine M. Garrigan, age 90, of Manitowoc, died Sunday evening, November 11, 2018 at River's Bend Health & Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc.Elaine was born on December 4, 1927, in Two Rivers, daughter of the late George and Marcella (Gauthier) Bonk. She attended local area schools and graduated from Two Rivers Washington High School. On August 18, 1945 Elaine married Richard E. Garrigan in Two Rivers. He preceded her in death on September 4, 1967. Mom considered herself a professional home maker, raising her nine children. Her family was everything to her and she was well known for her "Grandma Cake". She was a member of various card clubs and St. Francis of Assisi Parish.Survivors include her eight children: Bruce Garrigan, Green Bay, Gary (Diane) Garrigan, Sheboygan; Nancy (John) Zabel, Manitowoc; Gail (Dennis) Cox, Fountain Valley, CA; Mary Ellen (Bill) Luedtke, Manitowoc; Deborah (Jeff) Stein, Marshfield; Cheryl (Pat) Nooker, Green Bay; Tom Garrigan, Manitowoc; 16 grandchildren: Scott (Melissa) Garrigan; Mark (Katelyn) Garrigan; Neil Garrigan; Jason (Mindi) Garrigan; Eric (Clair) Zabel; Amy (Bradford) Fryjoff; Tina (James) Crichton; Tricia (Chris) Urban; Brad (Emily) Luedtke; Craig (Renae) Luedtke; Kevin (Ashley) Luedtke; David (Heather) Stein; Kristin (Chancey) Henin; Brian Stein; Kyle (Sarah) Nooker; Adam (Jillian) Nooker; 26 great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: George and Marcella Bonk; her husband: Richard E. Garrigan Sr.; one infant son: Robert Garrigan; one son: Richard E. Garrigan Jr.; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo, 1121 North 14th Street, Manitowoc. The Rev. Jose Lopez will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the church from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:30 p.m. Following the funeral and burial, a luncheon for family and friends will be held at the Manitowoc Eagle's Club, 823 Hamilton Street, Manitowoc.
