James Brey Obituary

James M. Brey, age 65, of 10736 W. Hillcrest Road, Whitelaw, died early Friday morning, January 13, 2017 at Aurora Bay Care Medical Center in Green Bay, surrounded by his loving family.Jim was born on April 7, 1951 in Manitowoc, son of the late Joseph and Josetta (Spatchek) Brey. He grew up in the Kellnersville area attending St. Joseph grade School in Kellnersville and graduating from Reedsville High School in 1969. Following high school, he attended and graduated from the University of Wisconsin at Oshkosh. On April 1, 1983 Jim was married to the former Eileen V. Schwoerer in Minnesota. Jim worked at the Mirro Company for over 25 years, where he held different management positions. The couple owned and operated Advantage Transport Ltd. in Maribel since 2002. Jim was a former member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Kellnersville and a current member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish of Manitowoc. He enjoyed nature and the outdoors. Jim was an avid Wisconsin Badger football and basketball fan and also an avid Green Bay Packer fan, relaxing many hours in his man cave.Survivors include his wife: Eileen V. Brey, Whitelaw; two sons and daughters-n-law: Joshua (Katie) Brey, Whitelaw; Matthew (Katie) Brey, Greenleaf; one daughter: Megan Brey, Milwaukee and her special friend: Ramidu Mirissage; three granddaughters: Emily; Allison; Hailee; special family dog: Coco; one brother and sister-in-law: Roger (Kathy) Brey, Oshkosh; three sisters and two brothers-in-law: Susan (Gordon) Kmetz, Lakeville, MN; Bonnie (Bill) Lenberg, Albuquerque, NM; Patti Piaskowski, Sheboygan; one brother-in-law and two sisters-in-law: Brian Schwoerer, IN; Pat Schwoerer, Altoona; Jean Schwoerer, Manitowoc, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents: Joseph and Josetta Brey.A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 20, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Kellnersville. The Rev. David Pleier will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. The Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Kellnersville is assisting the family with arrangements.
