Kenneth M. Weger

Kenneth M. Weger, age 89, formerly of Francis Creek, and currently a resident of Tender Reflections of Manitowoc, passed away Friday afternoon June 1, 2018 at Tender Reflections.Ken was born on May 21, 1929 in Milwaukee, son of the late Russell and Sylvia (Deinlein) Weger. He grew up and attended schools in Milwaukee graduating from high school in 1951. Ken was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Korean conflict from December of 1951 until December of 1952. On April 25, 1953, Ken married Janet R. Arkens in Milwaukee. Janet preceded Ken in death on April 15, 2013. He worked for the Manitowoc County Highway Department from 1962 until his retirement in 1990. Ken was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church of Francis Creek. He enjoyed traveling, attending car shows and volunteering for various organizations.He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law: Patty (Ed) Trost, Weyauwega; one son and daughter-in-law: Donald (Deanna) Weger, Francis Creek; three grand-daughters: Andrea Trost and Tom Simon, Platteville; Stacie (Nate) Smith, Westby; Taylor Weger, Francis Creek; two grandsons: Andrew Trost, Weyauwega; Landon Weger, Francis Creek; two sisters-in-law; June Katzka, Francis Creek; Geraldine Arkens, Francis Creek, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents: Russell and Sylvia Weger; his wife: Janet Weger; his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Raymond and Claire Arkens; two brothers and one sister-in-law: Gary (Adorae) Weger; Donald Weger; two brothers-in-law: Bud Arkens and Marty Katzka.A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 8, 2018 at St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek. The Rev. Jeffrey J. Briones will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with burial of his cremated remains in the parish cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. The Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Kellnersville is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
