Marjorie Schmit Obituary

Marjorie "Margie" Schmit, age 88, of Francis Creek, passed away Wednesday morning, November 13, 2019 at Aurora Medical Center of Manitowoc County.Margie was born on May 13, 1931 in the township of Kossuth, daughter of the late William and Clara (Havlichek) Dvorak. She graduated from Mishicot High School with the class of 1949. On May 5, 1951 Margie married Ray Schmit at St. Anne Catholic Church in Francis Creek. He preceded her in death on June 23, 2013. She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek, St. Anne Altar Society and was a member of Catholic Financial Life Chapter #86 in which she served as president for the past 23 years. Margie enjoyed traveling.Survivors include her four children and their spouses: Jean (Robert) Vandenbusch, Gresham, JoAnn (Mark) Krejcarek, Manitowoc, Patricia (Mark) Vondrasek, Belvidere, IL, John Schmit, Francis Creek and his special friend: Lisa Fuerbringer; four grandchildren: Kimberly Krejcarek, Green Bay, Bryan (Teresa) Krejcarek, Wauwatosa, Katherine Vondrasek, Tulsa, OK, Andrew Vondrasek, Oak Creek; one sister and brother-in-law: Shirley (Jack) Haese, rural Manitowoc; one sister-in-law: Rosemary Holschbach, Manitowoc, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: William and Clara Dvorak; her husband of 62 years: Ray Schmit; one sister: Grace Dvorak; one brother and sister-in-law: Francis (Carol) Dvorak; two sisters-in-law and three brothers-in-law: Norma (Daniel) Krcma, Alveria (Russell) Wachholz, John Holschbach.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 23, 2019 at St. Anne Catholic Church, 126 South Packer Drive, Francis Creek. The Rev. John Becker will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with burial to follow in the parish cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. The Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Kellnersville assisted the family with funeral arrangements.
