Rose Cegielski Obituary

Rose M. Cegielski, Age 89, of Manitowoc, passed away early Monday morning, November 18, 2019 at Manitowoc Health & Rehabilitation Center.Rose was born on April 14, 1930 in Sturgeon Bay, daughter of the late Alexander and Sarah (Saudo) Resner. On May 12, 1951 she married Myron A. Cegielski at First German Ev. Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on November 25, 2001. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Ladies Aid, and the Church Choir. Rose enjoyed playing bingo, traveling and gambling.She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law: Neil (Kay) Cegielski, Manitowoc; one daughter and son-in-law: Gail (Rod) Evers, Neenah; five grandchildren: Lisa (Erin) Peterson, Jennifer Backus and her fiancé: Bryan Barbeau, Marc (Dana) Cegielski, Benjamin Evers, Peter (Katrinna) Evers; nine great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Myron A. Cegielski; four brothers; three sisters.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 21, 2019 at the Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1712 Menasha Avenue, Manitowoc. The Rev. Zachary DeArmond will officiate with burial at Gjerpen Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call on Thursday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. The Jens Family Funeral Home & Crematory of Manitowoc assisted the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church Pre-School.
